The School has set clear guidelines in relation to student behaviour and these are detailed in the School Policy Handbook and on our Secure Website. In general terms we work from the principle that effective communities instil their own sense of worthwhile purpose and endeavour without becoming over reliant upon pedantic regulations. Students perform best when they feel safe, valued, independent and recognised for their achievements. Naturally, this is conditional upon students demonstrating respect for others and working within the parameters of a School Code of Behaviour: something we prefer to call ‘School Philosophy’. Our discipline is ‘firm yet fair’, allowing students to take meaningful steps through childhood into adolescence. The relationship between a student's tutor and home is fundamentally important.
