At D.Y. Patil SPIS, teacher training is an integral part of the programme as revision always helps. Teachers are sent to training workshops with a purpose of re-learning. Several In- house workshops are also conducted to keep the teachers abreast with the changes that take place in curricula and methodology. In addition to these, teachers also benefit from the various online Cambridge workshops that come up from time to time.

Another area which receives concerted efforts is the ESL wing. This wing works hard to raise the standards continuously and provide more challenging situations to its students. This wing provides the students with ample learning opportunities through the enhancement of all four skill areas: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Enough technological support is provided so as to make the learning sessions an enjoyable experience. These programmes are suitably graded and are carried out through differentiation, i.e., depending on each students ability in class he or she is worked with so to help each child develop his or her linguistic skills. These programmes are commence from Grade 1 to Grade 12.
