| A name synonymous with education and one which carries great respect and acclaim in the Indian Education Industry is none other than our respected
Padmashree Dr. D.Y.Patil. With the cause of upliftment of the downtrodden and the masses of India, Padamshree Dr. D.Y. Patil has created new realms of both affordable education and health facilities for the people of India. In line with this magnanimous task and selfless service, three prestigious Universities were born: Padamshree Dr. D. Y. Patil University Navi Mumbai, Dr. D. Y. Patil University Pune, Padamshree D. Y. Patil University, Kolhapure. These universities provide the learning domains of medicine, dentistry, engineering, architecture, paramedicine, law, nursing, hospitality amongst many other. Ever since he has joined the arena of public service, Padamshree Dr. D. Y. Patil has been serving the people of Maharashtra in numerous capacities most prominent being Corporator Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (1957-1962); Member Maharashtra Legislative Assembly (1967-1978). He has also served on several committees and councils in India and abroad including the AICTE and has been instrumental in shaping the policies of the government. Under his able guidance and leadership, the state of Maharashtra has seen much development in the fields of education and healthcare. In conjunction with education, healthcare has been another domain which has been close to Padamshree Dr. D. Y. Patil’s heart. With this endeavour, three hospitals with a cumulative bed facility of 2300 beds providing free treatment to nearly one hundred thousand people, have been set up in Mumbai, Pune and Kolhapure. His contributions towards uplifting the poor and downtrodden have been acknowledged by the conference of several awards, most prominent being the “Padamshree”. In further recognition of his immense effort and contribution towards developing the state of Maharashtra, he has recently been appointed as the Governor of Tripura. Padamshree Dr. D. Y. Patil credits all his accomplishments to the blessings of Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj of Sheshgaon and Shri Satya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi. |

| For an educational institute to be truly international and provide a state-of-the-art learning environment, it requires an apt planning and execution. The person who was endowed and entrusted this vital responsibility was Mr. Vijay D. Patil. Vested with an engineering degree coupled with a Masters in Business Management, he combines experience and education to provide for a balanced management of the entire infrastructure of this magnitude.
